Implementation Roadmap
At Mitochon Systems we are building our system to meet and exceed developing HHS requirements for EMR functionality. This adherence will allow physicians users to position themselves to qualify for HITECH incentive payments for meaningful use. Our roadmap to certification will change often so check back soon for updates.
Mitochon Systems Certification Roadmap:
Functionality Currently In Place:
-Use CPOE for all orders
-Implement drug-drug, drug-allergy, drug-formulary checks
-Maintain an up to-date problem list of current and active diagnoses based on ICD-9 or SNOMED
-Generate and transmit permissible prescriptions electronically
-Maintain active medication list
-Maintain active medication allergy list
-Record demographics
-Record vital signs, BMI and related patient data
-Record smoking status
-Provide patients with an electronic copy of their health information (including problem lists and medication lists) upon request
-Provide patients with an electronic copy of their discharge information and procedures
-Provide patients with timely electronic access to their health information (including problem lists and medication lists)
-Provide clinical summaries for patients for each encounter
-Capability to exchange key clinical information (e.g., problem list, medication list, allergies, test results) among providers of care and patient authorized entities electronically
-Perform medication reconciliation at relevant encounters and each transition of care
-Protect electronic health information created or maintained by the EHR using appropriate technical capabilities

-Incorporate lab-test results into EHR as structured data (Coming soon Q2-2010)
-Generate lists of patients by specific conditions to use for quality improvement, reduction of disparities, and outreach (Coming soon Q3-2010)
-Report ambulatory quality measures to CMS (Coming soon Q2-2010)
-Send reminders to patients per patient preference for preventive/ follow up care (Coming soon Q2-2010)
-Implement 5 clinical decision support rules relevant to specialty or high clinical priority (Coming soon Q2-2010)
-Check insurance eligibility electronically from public and private payers, where possible (Coming soon Q2-2010)
-Submit claims electronically to public and private payers (Coming soon Q3-2010)
-Capability to submit electronic data to immunization registries and action submission where required and accepted (Coming soon Q2-2010)
-Capability to provide electronic syndrome surveillance data to public health agencies and actual transmission according to applicable law and practice (Coming soon Q2-2010)
